davewastech says... At what growth stage do the fruit fall off? What colour? And do they fall off with the stalk still attached? Any evidence of possums chewing the skin? (I have a lot of trouble with possums in a tall passionfruit in my Sydney backyard. Typically in their rummaging a lot get knocked off the plant with little if any chewing marks, and the stalk is no longer attached. This happens just before they start to ripen, ie the possums strike before the fruit has a chance to ripen. I've got another in the front yard right next to a busy road, and only 1.5m off the ground - no problems with that one - possums prefer a bit more safety. Possums around here are mostly ringtails) | About the Author davewastech WILLOUGHBY EAST,2068,NSW 26th April 2016 6:29pm #UserID: 7097 Posts: 115 View All davewastech's Edible Fruit Trees |
