paw paw

turtle starts with ...
just wondering how big of base is on a paw paw and if they are deep rooted. have been offered a couple of reasonable size 2 to 3 mtrs. these are fruiting so is it a good idea to try to transplant after a pruning. am located in perth

papaya (I assume that's what you're referring to as pawpaw) don't like being moved. Even if you got every single root during the move, it will still wilt and drop all the leaves other than those at the crown, and its fruit. You are better of cutting off all the leaves before the move, an the fruit.

Root mass can get pretty big, but because the roots are so spongy, they can't cause damage to pipes/ structure or whatnot.
