AnitaM starts with ... See attached photos, I have a terraced garden and I have been told that it would be suitable to plant a pencil cedar in one of the tiered terraces. The terrace has a soil depth of about 1 meter and a surface area of about 700mm by 2 meters. I am concerned that the pencil cedar roots will destroy the integrity of the retaining wall , which is sandstone layer with mortar. Can anyone offer advise. I understand the pencil cedar can grown up to 15m , this would not be suitable. Is there alternative small tree which you could suggest, similar in appearance. Ideally the tree should only grown to 6M high and spread of 3M. I look forward to any advise. | About the Author AnitaM Darling Point 22nd July 2014 3:28pm #UserID: 10243 Posts: 1 View All AnitaM's Edible Fruit Trees |
