I have an establish cheery plum( s-29) and it's only partly self pollinating. What variety will be a suitable cross pollinator.

Generally any European plums will pollinate well with the myrobalan if that's what you have. Prune D'agen or any of the gages are good options as they tend to flower very early. Japanese plums on the whole are not compatible. Another option is to get a seedling cherry plum as they tend to come up like weeds - one of those should, in time, become a viable pollinator.
