Robert Vogel starts with ... Does anyone have any information as to where I can buy fruit tree seedlings of the Species Prunus Domestica, sub species Italica? They are commonly called Italian Prune Plums where I come from, that is, Canada. No one here seems to be able to tell me where I can get seedling stock of that species. They are great for making German Plum Pancakes as they do not fall apart when cooked, like other plums do. They are dark purple on the outside with a light purple powdery coating and green fleshed on the inside. We called them Prune Plums in Canada as I believe they are the main variety used for making Prunes (dried plums.) | About the Author Robert Vogel Eungella, Queensland 22nd March 2008 9:10am #UserID: 793 Posts: 1 View All Robert Vogel's Edible Fruit Trees |
