Hi all I have got a yellow and red cherry guava trees growing in my yard BUT they both have spindly trunks why? I have to support them so they do not fall over.Other then that they are growing well here in Melbourne and I do get some fruit from them.

Merry Christmas to all.

Hi Vince, hard to say without more information but perhaps they're in a spot where they need to reach for the sun? I suggest you prune them back to encourage lateral growth. Merry Christmas

This red cherry guava tree has been growing for over 10 years its looks very healthy,it gets loaded with flowers 3 times a year but only get 2 or 3 fruit from it, the buds and flowers fall off before the fruit forms, any ideas besides a sharp axe,

Blunt axe?
Get rid of it. If they arent pumping out fruit within three years either try again or try something else.

I think you are being too nice to the plant. Ignore, stop feeding and stop watering. Plants fruit to survive. If your plant is too loved it doesn't have the need to fruit.
