rosellas

    2 responses

Peter's farm starts with ...
I grew some rosellas this year from a punnet or two from daleys. Whilst one plant produced fruit like the one on the left, most were like the fruit on the right: larger seed pods and plenty of flesh. I am used to the 'traditional' style of the one on the left. My parents first bought that style from a farm at acacia ridge (Brisbane) in the 1960s. Having made rosella jam many times since then, I have not seen the other one until this year. Is it a variation or is it my imagination?

I had a daleys plant as well and it produced fruit like the right one in the photo. Yes different to what I am used to but excellent.
