rust on pear (forum)

jackie bonner starts with ...
how would I treat rust on pear tree that was only planted a few months ago? Also have a quince with small eel like grubs that have a bulbous head. I have been squashing them but they re appear. what can I spray with and does anyone know what they are

the rusts is more likely to be a virus from letting the fruit that fall of stay on the ground as with the leaves. Must keep these areas clean so that the bugs walking in the dont spread the virus for you to all other plants around. Try to get a copper oxide spray or one of the many others on the market for viruses.
