Sour Cherries (Prunus cerasus)

Has anyone tried growing sour cherries in low chill areas?

From what I have read over the years, sour cherries may be more tolerant of low chilling than sweet cherries and have heard some anecdotal evidence to support this.

Any info appreciated.

I have one in western Brisbane. It fruits but only a few fruit a year, it is small and growing slowly.
