More info needed. In general you are well situated for all stone fruits but they will need watering most of the year because Jindabyne is quite dry and mostly rocky with a lot of exposed slopes.

What kind of situation are you planning. In a fenced garden they will be less subject to drying by the kinds of dry winds you will get in summer and autumn, and you can generally build up sOil fertility more easily than in larger scale plantings.

If you can provide shelter, soil and water, pick the cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, almonds, plums and crosses you like best and plant to your heart's content. Pome fruits too, if you like them and have the room. Your temperatures and daylengths are as good as you can get anywhere.

Put in a row of weeping cherries along your driveway and you will have passersby weeping with envy at your green thumbs. (Ask me about managing pear and cherry slug when they are established.)

Last time I was up that way, there seemed to be a few wild plums and apples around near old sheds, seedlings on roadsides, even apple trees at picnic spots. Have you noticed much around ??
