Does anybody have Sumac seeds?

I bought a pot of it from Turkye and really like it. We put it in the salad and that works well. It's an acidic powder.

But i have no idea which variety of sumac i bought, does anybody know which one they use overthere?

Tomorrow i 'm going to try it on chicken.

Better to just buy the spice I think - keeps for a long time in a sealed airtight container - tried growing Cumin seed last summer and will do again this summer - such a nicer taste fresh off the plant.

It's very hard to find Sumac in Thailand, even in Holland where i bought it in an Asian shop (toko).

Cumin tastes much better if you just fry the seeds a bit before using.
