Hi

I would welcome any tips on how to grow apple trees - type, soil conditions required and where can I get the little plants etc.....I live in the Blue mountains near Katoomba which is > 1000 m above sea level and pretty cold in winters. Thanks

Why don't you go on line and google "apple cultivation" and if you have specific questions ,ask them then. Practically any nursery will have apple trees to sell. a specialist nursery for apples is Badgers Keep in Chewton , Vic. ;they mail out.

There are many many varieties, not too fussy about soil type etc. A specialist nsy like Badgers is good advice. Multi grafted trees are useful to get many vars in a small yard. Also dwarf rootstock are avail.
