Cecile starts with ...
Hello,
I would like to go and live in Conondale and plant fruit trees. Someone told me that it is very wet and fruit trees won't grow. Is it possible to let me know which kind of fruit trees grow well around that area?
Thank you very much.
Regards
Cecile

Cecile the type of soil, drainage and aspect/slope of the land you will live on might influence your choice of fruit trees for your area, not only the amount of rainfall. You could ask around at nurseries and when you have a list of trees that might be suitable, you could research them on the internet to find out exactly what conditions suit them best and the type of maintenance they will need. There are also markets where people sell fruit trees, such as the Yandina market, and the sellers there are usually happy to give you advice.

Conondales is a dustbowl I thought.2500mm/yr would be better than 500mm/yr in terms of tree choices.Avocadoes, custard apples, macadamias, citrus, guavas, pecans and so many more would be suitable.Getting a climate profile, considering vegies and the actions Diego suggested would be a good starting point.
