IanM starts with ... I am looking for seedlings, cuttings, suckers, or seed of Sorbus domestica (also called Cormus domestica), which is commonly called the Service tree. I know there are occasional plantings of it around Canberra e.g. Lake George area, and around Walcha for example. But I live too far from those areas and it is seldom offered for sale. Can anybody help? | About the Author IanM OAKEY,4401,QLD 17th October 2016 8:34pm #UserID: 4015 Posts: 11 View All IanM's Edible Fruit Trees |

Linton says... Raising a Respectable Rowan! While most Rowans or Sorbus species are quite large trees and can take many years to reach maturity, this dwarf variety from Sichuan, China, only grows to about 1 metre. It produces pink edible berries with bright purple foliage in Autumn. Surprised to see a few flowers already forming on this 1 year old plant. Is this normal for Rowans and do you think it might produce fruit in the next few years? Cheers!
