White Sapote Leaf Damage

    3 responses

Hi I've noticed the leaves on my young Kampong white sapote tree have these light brown spots and damage at the tips. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to fruit tree growing and am not sure if it's just because of winter.

I don't know much about Lake Illawarra but is it some substantial degree colder than Kyogle?

Most of my white sapote's from NSW/QLD are looking horrible this winter, but the ones from Adelaide or that have been here for a winter or two are looking fine since they've become climatized from the cold already.

I'd imagine it's just your white sapote suffering from winter, should pick back up again in Spring.

It's definitely a few degrees colder in winter, as Lake Illawarra is about 15 km south of Wollongong on the coast. I managed to get a small greenhouse (a bit late I know) that it's now in.
