Markmelb starts with ... After listening to some CSIRO guy talking about a 5th season hes called SPRINTER - im seeing his relevance after last weekends magical weather in Melbourne - still with cool evenings of 8c but lovely sunny days of 16c - my usual end of winter is per Northern hemispheres beginning of Summer on 21/22 September (Not 1st September) Maybe Tasmania should follow Europe as quite close to it Longitudinally speaking - Maybe its the current El Nino effect - so whos up for Sprinter??? | About the Author Markmelb MOUNT WAVERLEY,3149,VIC 24th August 2015 5:35pm #UserID: 7785 Posts: 1192 View All Markmelb's Edible Fruit Trees |
Bangkok says... Never heard of Sprinter but yes el Nino has a great influence on the climate worldwide, this year and last years. Thailand still has draught and floodings at the same time. Holland had the coldest day in August ever this month. Also it just had 60 hours of nonstop rain which is unheard of. But if the earth is still warming up you guys in Melbourne might be lucky to be able to grow more tropical fruit/plants there. You might as well start planting seeds to gamble on that happening. | About the Author Bangkok thailand 24th August 2015 6:03pm #UserID: 11594 Posts: 370 View All Bangkok's Edible Fruit Trees |

Markmelb says... Even though the Almond has set a few baby almonds already and Mariposa plum and nectarine and peaches are in full flower --- alot is still to happen and around here wont be into full swing for another 4 weeks till when Spring should really begin - maybe we should call Aug 22nd to Sept 22nd Sprinter or Wing? maybe not Wing :) | About the Author Markmelb MOUNT WAVERLEY,3149,VIC 24th August 2015 6:28pm #UserID: 7785 Posts: 1192 View All Markmelb's Edible Fruit Trees |
