Yellowing leaf problem (forum)

These are Daleys trees that I didn't have time to look after previously but now have plenty of time on my hands. They were in much worse condition than this but I haven't got the problem solved yet. My soil is nice looking sandy loam but it holds water [poor drainage]so far I've spread dolomite and a little epsom salts around plus som chook manure but the problem lingers, any thoughts?

Wayne,
I have had an identical problem particularly after massive rains that we had. Originally I thought it was Magnesium deficiency and started treating with Epsom Salts but, because the problem persisted, I ruled that out.
I did some research and found that Manganese deficiency can have a similar appearance and that Manganese is unavailable to plants if the pH is raised. So a bit of Sulphur made the soil more acid and the new growth is looking OK. The old leaves still look crook but I think I'm on the right track. Hope this helps.
