Plum Tree
Grafted plum trees are capable of bearing large crops from 1 year after planting. They make delightful ornamental trees due to their mass display of white blossoms during August. Both self-pollinating and cross-pollinating varieties are available and exhibit very different characteristics.
This golden plum is firm with excellent flavour & texture and a small seed. 350 hours chill. Dwarfing characteristics makes this an ideal backyard variety. An excellent all-round variety with the added bonus that it doesn’t seem to be affected by fruit fly. Partially self pollinating but benefits from pollination with Gulfruby, Gulfblaze.
(85-1) Earliest ripening of low chill plums. Fruit colour is dark red, with yellow flesh. Sour skin but sweet flesh when fully ripe. Good fruit size when thinned and heavy cropping. Pollinates with Gulfruby, Gulfgold, Gulfblaze. Requires 325 hours chill. Oct to Nov
Juicy, yellow flesh, clingstone, large size if properly thinned, attractive red skin blush, resistant to bacterial spot. Very low chill 275 hrs. Pollinator Gulfgold or Gulfblaze.
A red fleshed, local blood plum with very sweet, small round fruit. Self pollinating. 400 hours chill. Bears Nov to Dec.
(87_4) Promising variety with tasty and juicy fruit. Good low chill selection of 350 hours
A Japanese blood plum with dark red flesh and large fruit if thinned. The flavour is excellent, the skin glossy red and it has a egg shaped fruit. Will crop over a wide range of climates. Pollinator Satsuma
Red to purple flesh with a freestone. The flavour is good, the growth vigorous and its bears particularly well, in fact to get large fruits it may require thinning. The firm juicy flesh has a sweet spicy flavour. Self pollinating. 350 - 400 hours chill. Bears November to early December.
Medium sized self pollinating blood plum that requires approximately 450 hours of chill. It is very ornamental with deep red leaves, and has beautiful pink flowers in spring. Bears around late December.

Large, round fruit with deep pink to red skin over a yellow-green background and a heavy bloom. Flesh is creamy white. The tree is a heavy producing variety, the fruit are sweet, firm and juicy. Used for its fresh fruits, jams and stewing.

European plum with small-medium sized, roundish fruit with greenish-yellow skin. Flesh is amber-yellow coloured, firm, freestone. Good, sweet flavour. Tends to bear biannually. A favourite for cooking, canning and desserts. Ripens in late summer. Forms relatively small tree. Pollinate with Prune d'Agen.

Purple coloured oval-shaped fruit. Very sweet yellow flesh with a freestone. A prolific bearer, 'd'Agen' is excellent for fresh fruit and drying. Fruit should be fully mature to ensure maximum sugar content. Pollination , other prune cultivars or 'Coe's Golden Drop', 'Green Gage' plums.
