About My Edible Backyard

Why Kermit Love's Edible Plants

Nothing better than picking your own fruit.  I was blessed in buying a property that had mature cropping fruit trees that seem to have one or other fruiting every month of the year.  I have added to this since moving but at this stage am having trouble with them establishing .  So have come in search of knowledge.

We removed all Citrus as they were struggling. 1 Bush lemon is bouncing back however.

We have planted (all that I have planted are struggling to exist)

Mulberry (moved from original spot after 2 months, seemed to like new spot, grew 2 new stems then came into alot of fruit for its size) then all but died and is now trying to make a come back with 2 new stems)

Paw Paw  (after staying the same hight for 12 months, finally died)

Passionfruit (long single stem with very few leaves still after 12 months)

Orange  (is doing well, may have something to do with being planted over deceased family pet)

Emperor Mandarin (leaves are pointing up and looks to be struggling and is 6 months old)

Meyer Lemon (given for Xmas and already some type of bug has wrapped the young leaves around it and looks a little crikled

Pomegranite (it's in a Pot and is doing ..... O.K.)
