Dwarf Apple - Dorsett Golden (Grafted) 10/10

Caroline's Edible Fruits
Update: 550 days 13hrs

Growing very well. Fairly quick growing even though is a dwarf. Actually fruited in winter this year - I pruned it in late summer as recommended by a friend which resulted in winter fruiting. I didnt let it fruit in last summer as I thought its branches were not well developed enough to handle the weight. Lovely apples and havent had any problems with pests.

Nice orchard you have. For flavour, if you had to choose one variety, would you go with the Heritage or Williamette?
Caroline says... [550 days 14hrs ago]
Unfortunately my husband planted the 2 types of canes at the same time and didnt note which was in which spot. One of them we didnt really like the flavour much at all and so I pulled it out. The other one is really delicious and bears fruit from December until June although only in small quantities late in the season. The one we pulled out started bearing fruit much later into the summer and continued for the same period into autumn (which fits the description of heritage however the one we kept grew berries from new canes from the ground in the same season which also fits with the description of heritage). Sorry I cant be more help. We have so many canes growing from the initial plant that we bought from Daleys that it didnt matter that we pulled out the one we didnt like much.
