Why ANDY Love's Edible Plants CommentsANDY says... [312 days 9hrs ago]
I never thought I would be a green thumb. I guess it just snook up on me. It's very interesting, let alone relaxing all of a sudden to start a plant from seed and watch it grow ( not literally ;) to the dinner plate. I know exactly how it grew above ground and below and which elements it was exposed or not exposed to. I also love the idea of being self-sustained ... which seems to be a very popular movement in todays society. I can remember the precursor to my new way of life though ... Healthy lifestyle and nutrition. An Organic, Bio Dynamic, Permaculture'd , vitamin and anti-oxidant rich plethora of gourmet delights at my very fingertips. I reckon bring back the barter system as well without sounding to old fashioned ... I am a reasonably healthy young guy who is a modern tech head in the mind , a flourishing gardener in the heart and a compost pile ... somewhere's else ;)

Andy my American paw paws are only a couple of years old and so not bearing yet. I notice you can buy seeds on eBay (US) and if you get them to write the species' name on the package they can be imported into Australia. I haven't tasted the blue quandong yet but I think it is really just an ornamental. Phil.
