Mandarin - Satsuma seedless (Grafted) 6/10

Henry's Edible Fruits
Update: 87 days 19hrs

Comments: -

A Japanese seedless thin-skinned sweet variety purchased from Bonnyrigg Garden Centre.

September 2009:  Some flowering activity recorded.  Applied sulphate of potash and watered in.  Removed all visible fruit buds to concentrate on growth and prevent branch distortion.

October 2009:  Some growth recorded.

November 2009:  More growth recorded and tree is looking healthy.

December 2009 to March 2010:  Lots more growth and tree is sure looking healthy.

February 2012:  A very healthy tree with lots of fruit.  Looking forward to enjoying the fruits of my labour.

Mandarin - Freemont (Grafted) 5/10

Cool Climate's Edible Fruits
Update: 174 days 18hrs

Comments: -

Bought because my kids love mandarins. Planted Spring 2010, basically has not grown at all. I'm hoping a warmer summer will make a difference (last summer was quite mild). Had a water tube around it all winter for frost protection. No leaf yellowing or loss - just no growth!

Dwarf Mandarin - Emperor 10/10

Dave's City Garden's Edible Fruits
Update: 214 days 11hrs

Comments: -

This has been the best tree in my potted fruit collection. It is now a healthy bushy small tree covered with fruit. Last year it had about 15 manderines reached maturity.  The tree was covered in flowers in winter and after the huge ripe ornage coloured fruit from the season before were picked (June).  This tree gets the same treatment as my other citris but it is the best. It is in a 60cm terracotta pot.

Winter 2011- produces a very heavy crop but afterward slooked very tiered. I tip prunes and ferilised with Blood and bone.  It has recovered and looks very healthy again but didn't flower. I think its taking a rest. I used some of the last fruit and made marmalade with the last of the passonfruit.

First Fruited: 1 Years from purchase in pot

Mandarin (Grafted) 9/10

Allybanana's Edible Fruits
Update: 263 days 1hrs

Comments: -

It gives tasty fruit in winter and looks good, I am not sure of the variety, grandma planted it in 1987, it gets runoff from the roof which no doubt helps it thrive. Interestingly this tree has a raised bed covering the graft, roots are growing from above the graft. I wonder if this increases the size and salinity tolerance of this tree.

Fruiting Months June, July, August, September

Planted: 1987

Height 4 metres

Growing: In the Ground

Sun/Shade: Medium Sun

Pruned By: 30% in
