Comments: -

Very fast growing tree. Doesn't spread out too much and grows more tall than out. Also doesn't lose its leaves in winter like my other stone fruit. It stays nice and green and lush. I just have to beat the geese to the fruit this year so I can review the taste.

Dwarf Peach - Sunset Backyard Beauty (Grafted)

Blueberrywannabe's Edible Fruits
Update: 357 days 23hrs

Comments: -

I have two of these little guys and I am loving the smallness. There hasn't been much movement in terms of growth but I guess that is what winter will do.

Planted: 2011

Height 250 Centimetres

Growing: In a Pot

Qty: 2

Sun/Shade: Medium Sun

Water Given in: Spring

Fertiliser or Organics Used: handful of multi-purpose mulch

When I Fertilise: Spring

Organic Status:Partially Organic

Question:

Does anyone have any general advice on the grafted dwarf variaties? I think there *may* be a bacterial canker (i.e sap ooze) or the remenants of tip borer. I trimmed the oozy areas away and am now awaiting spring

Any tropic peach would do. Lack of space is now an issue and I need to focus on plants that will actually provide more crop for the space they take.

Dwarf Peach (Grafted)

Kowe76's Edible Fruits
Update: 618 days 22hrs

Comments: -

I enjoy this dwarf peach tree because it can be grown in a pot. I rent, so can't put anything in the ground. A compact plant is important to me. What is more important is self sufficiency. Though the plant won't feed a family. It makes me proud every year it produces fruit. It is one less peach I buy from the supermarket.

This is the first year I have had a very productive crop. I have taken the time this year and fertilised abd maintained it, now I am receiving the reward for my hard work - a lot of fruit. Have to cover them at night though, as I have possums living near by.

Angel Peach - Subtropical (Grafted) 9/10

Town Farm's Edible Fruits
Update: 635 days 0hrs

Comments: -

As I have had such wonderful success with other sub-tropical peaches decided to try this one when it came on-line.  Only planted in October, 2009 but has doubled its size.  Very enthusiastic grower.  Can't wait to try the fruit.  If it like the other peaches I put in I should taste the first from this tree next summer.

Tree bursting out in flowers so expecting some lovely peaches around Xmas.

Fruiting Months October and November

Height 5 Feet

Qty: 1

Sun/Shade: Full Sun

Water Given in: Spring

Pollination: Self Pollination

Fertiliser or Organics Used: manure, blood

Pest Control:

None at this stage but I anticipate the fruit/ may fly when fruiting.  Am going to try the fruit fly attractants and will also bag fruit.
