Espaliered. 4th year and no fruit but think that was because I moved the plant earlier this year. Will bag fruit to protect from fruit fly. Apparently this fruit stores well, one reason why I picked it.

Finally, 6 fruit due to be harvested mid 2019!

Nashi Pear - Tropical Sunshu (Grafted)

VF1's Edible Fruits
Update: 4197 days 20hrs

A low-chill, high quality fuit bearer, that is very productive after 2-3 years, and doesn't need a cross-pollinator.  Needs some sort of wind protection to protect fruit from bruising on the tree.

Update: 5157 days 19hrs

Comments: -

My plant is struggling. Semi-deciduous?

Jan-2010 it did not make it through the very dry period before recent flooding rain, despite weekly watering. My conclusion is that the soil was too well drained and maybe not sufficiently rich in organic matter. Nearby ornamental natives are thriving.
