John Mc's Edible Fruits
Update: 2 days 9hrs

Comments: -

I know  I'm having myself on with these dwaft coconuts but the foliage is nice and besides, I like palms anyway. They got through last winter easily and have doubled in growth over the last year. I'm not expecting them to fruit anytime soon but they're a good show off to my visitors. At the moment they're in 25lit bonzai bags, and will have to be potted up into something bigger next year if the growth keeps happening.

Peanuts - Arachis hypogaea

Kathy's Edible Fruits
Update: 41 days 22hrs

Comments: -

Spring 2011: Gift from a lovely friend. I've never had fresh peanuts so I am excited to try some.

Summer 2012: I have been given a second (bought) one as a gift. Gonna have fresh peanuts this year!! Can't wait!

Planted: 2011

Qty: 2

Pollination: No

Pest Control:

Tiny leaf-curling caterpillars. They damaged most of the folliage in one day/night. Annoying - too wet to spray, too many to just cut them off. Squished them as I could and moved the plant to the glasshose to recover.

Got this from the market this year in a pot and put it under my front veranda.  It was doing very well until I forgot to water it one week and all the leaves dried up.  I cut it back and put it outside.  I hope it takes off again.
