My question is do angel peach (flat peach) suffer from curly leaves like normal peach trees? If yes, do I spray at bud swell with Copper oxychloride like for normal peach tress?

Thanks

Hi ding,

Peaches and Nectarines need copper spray to prevent leaf curl diseases if you grow it in Melbourne. spray in July, August and may be in September depends on the weather wet or dry. But to be sure I would spray 3 times on the whole tree i.e. branches, trunk and bud swell. Cheers.

Hi Ding

Flat peach like other peach varieties needs copper oxychloride or bordeaux mixture during late winter to control leaf curl. If possible choose cv's that are resistant to leaf curl like black boy peach and according to Woodbridge Nursery in Tassie, Anzac and Redhaven peach trees have reasonable resistance to leaf curl disease.

Happy gardening :-)
