Fruitylicious1 says... Hi Chad Oftentimes presence of ants on plants signals an underlying problem. Ants doesn't go around wandering aimlessly. They are there for a reason, either food or shelter. In my case with my asimina Triloba and white sapote the ants were farming black/brown scales. I annihilated the scales and the ants were gone. Sometimes they also harbor aphids. With my custard apples, they are building a nest under the tree. Again I eliminated the ants and they were gone. Some of them they like to rob the sweet nectar of flowers. You must investigate closely the reason of their presence before you can take the appropriate action. Happy gardening :-) | About the Author Fruitylicious1 TAMWORTH,2340,NSW 22nd May 2018 6:47am #UserID: 16885 Posts: 709 View All Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruit Trees |
