Good morning. Just bought a property in Ningi, QLD that has already established fruit trees. Does anyone know what this one is?
Thanks
Stevie

This is a fig - no idea what variety till it has fruit --- Did you know you can add to this thread and not create a new thread for each question for same topic - you can also edit your thread too. All the ones after this should be deleted please.

Everyone should have name tags on their fruit trees - maybe a map too for future owners to enjoy the years of labour and love.

Thanks Markmelb. I'm new to forums and still learning how to use them. As I am identifying the plants I'm labeling them. The old owner of the property went nuts and planted so many plants so it's taking some time to figure out what's good and what's weed. Thanks again.

Your a bit lucky someone else put in the time and effort of a few years - plants are not an instant enjoyment - and for most of us here on this forum we grow from seed and graft unique plants and some we may never see fruit but hey enjoy what you grow - learn to identify them - learn your weathers nuances and learn to prune and mulch but above all have fun even if you dont plant anything else :) In fact your in a perfect spot for growing Custard Apples.

ooohhh - Markmelb - I actually wrote a PHP programme to map my garden using google mapping. I kept losing the hand-drawn scribbly maps, and the occasional plant death meant I had to rewrite the mudmap which became annoying ;-) it's an online mapping system over on my website at sproutmekate.com.au

Markmelb - yes the head is much better thanks :-) the dizzy spells only lasted about 6 months, and I had my husband trim back the cross-beams.

allybanana - yes - I'm a bit of a digital hoarder and collect graphics just in case I need them. so when I found a couple of nice map markers with fruit - I fired up photoshop and started making lots of different fruity map markers.
