Apricot pruning

    1 responses

GAD starts with ...
Can I remove some of my current new growth whilst tree is laden with fruit. Will assist in netting tree and easier access to fruit. Maybe will direct tree energy to fruit instead of new leaf growth?

Hi Gad

Most definitely, you can prune your apricot tree during summer to keep the size manageable. Most of the flowers next season will come from the old fruiting spurs anyway.
Happy gardening 😎
