Apricot Skin Splitting (forum)

We inherited an established orchard of 20 + trees when we bought our property a year ago but they hadn't been looked after for well over 5 years.
We had no fruit production last year but this year they all seemed to be going really well. Last week we noticed that the skin of the apricots on one tree had splits all through them. Another tree which was fine last weekend now also has skin cracking. The othet two remaining trees have lots of fruit but have dark redish/brown spots all over them.
We are all new to this so wondering have we forgotten to do something or done something wrong eg over watered? The fruit still tastes ok just not much left when you get around all the cracked skin.
Our 4 plum trees which have an abundance of fruit (at the moment) are having their leaves eaten / attacked. We can't see any type of bug around so not sure what we are dealing with. Any ideas?
Thanks

The leaves of the apricots are fine and it's the fruit that is effected with splits. The redish spots aren't raised or scabby, kind of look like freckles
With the plums we have some massive fruit which is all fine and it is just the leaves that are effected.
We did spray with copper at leaf fall and bud burst.
Is it possible it's the same diseases effecting both?

Thanks Jimmy, being our first year I can't be too miserable, we at least got some healthy fruit which has been delicious. Maybe we'll have more luck next year. Thanks for your reply.
