Avo leaves wilting and curling

Hello. My 2.5 year old avocado plant is sick. The leaves have begun wilting and curling. They do not turn crispy dry, just slightly discoloured which spreads as the affected area wilts and curls. It reminds me of tomato blight. Generally all the leaves are droopy but firm. The soil in the pot was very dry down to 2 or 3 inches so I gave it a good water.I have removed all the affected leaves but would like any ideas as to the cause and what I can do. Many thanks.

I suspect it is a simple case of not enough moisture/water in the pot for your avocado to sustain the leaves. From your picture, it looked like you have position the pot right next to the window that get a fair bit of sun. The combination of not enough water and pot in a sunny position has caused the leaves to wilt and die/drop off.
