Avocado leaves going brown

Our avocado Hass trees leaves are going brown. It's been in the ground for 3 months now and has a shelter to protect it. Is this normal? Will they fall off and grow new?

If, as you now suspect, it is wind burn - they leaves will be replenished in the normal course of the tree's leaf-cycle.
