Avocadoes grown from seed

Will an avocado tree grown from a seed from a supermarked ever grow fruit on its own?

We have a tree we grew from seed, it's about 5 or 6 years old now, and nearly 2.5m tall, fairly healthy, but no fruit at all.

I'm not sure if it is worth keeping the tree, or if its better replacing with something else entirely.

You might investigate cincturing

or you might consired grafting another Avo type onto your tree, or if it has several main branches, graft a few types onto it.

Hi All.

Thank you for the good suggestions.

I've just had to move the tree to another location, so I'm not sure if it survives the move, considering the hot weather we're experiencing right now.
