Fruitylicious1 says...
1. Pomegranate: Wonderful - best commercial variety from California, other good varities are Elche, Rosavaya and Azerbaijani
2. Grape: Flame seedless, Muscadine grape - Adonis, and Muscadine grape - Dixie
3.Avocado: Hass - A type - superior in taste and excellent keeper. might need a B type pollinator like Fuerte or Sharwill. Plant them close together for pollination and to save space say about 18 inches apart.
4. Passionfruit: Select Black, Panama Sweet Gold, Panama Red Pandora, these are self pollinating varieties so you only need one plant to set fruit. If you a have tiny backyard avoid sterile cultivars as they require a partner to produce fruit. Buy grafted ones for fast and best result.
5. Peach: For your area you need a low chill variety like Dwarf peach sunset backyard beauty. Plus its a self pollinating variety. Other low chill peaches are tropic snow and china flat.
6. Fig: personally i like the Fig Dwarf Brown. They start producing fruits straight away. And it is easier to water, prune, fertilize, weed, and harvest the luscious fruits, compared to the full size varieties.
7. Queensland ginger
:-) HAPPY GARDENING :-)
