Blemishes on plums

I have a plum tree full of plums that have suddenly developed skin blotches as shown in the attached picture. I haven’t been able to find any explanation. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

looks like it got sunburn damage. You need to cover the fruits when its too hot. Cheers
