Jo says... Hi Vicki! It looks like mealy bug. It can be difficult to remove. If you want to use chemicals, you can use a systemic insecticide like Folimat. BUT as it's on a blueberry (and you want to eat the fruit), you can try dipping a cotton bud in metho and use it to wipe them off. You will need to do it a few times. Mealy bug is a little sucking insect- you tend to get it on plants that are a bit stressed. Is your bluebery plated in the ground, or is it in a pot? You should check that it has enough water. Blueberries like similar conditions to Azaleas- soil rich in humus, and moist, not wet. | About the Author Jo9 25th August 2008 6:42pm #UserID: 1276 Posts: 7 View All Jo9's Edible Fruit Trees |
