Can I grow passionfruit in a pot?

    2 responses

What size pot should I grow passionfruit vines in? Currently I have two seedlings in 40cm wide x 30cm deep pots, but passionfruit is so vigorous I imagine I'll need to move them eventualy. The heavy clay soil on our property means I do not want to plant them in the ground (learnt the hard way with other passion fruit vines). Any tips would be appreciated.

Ive grown passionfruit in pots and they seem fine as long as they get plenty of water and fertilizer. I often see them growing on balconies in high rise apartments.

Thanks Hayden! I'll leave them in their little pots and see how they go.
