Carob tree

Hi Sydneysiders,
Does anyone have a carob tree in Sydney? I'm wondering as a Mediterranean plant - how does it cope with humid Sydney summer weather and is it subject to fungal problems [like peaches and my soft shelled almond :( ]
Thanks in Advance!
Linda

I grow it up near Byron Bay which has wet summers which extend into autumn. I still get a crop, however, but they do tolerate humidity quite readily
