jacksta28 starts with ... Hi there - just wondering if anyone out there could advise me why my habanero leaves are turning white ? They are in pots that I have been bringing in every night and taking out again in the morning to avoid the frost - I'm in Mount Annan in western Sydney

jakfruit etiquette says... The plant looks like its hardened off. This would give some protection from cold weather. If it was more lush, it would be more prone to cold damage, as these are sub tropical/tropical plants(Yucutan, Mexico). You could try to leave it inside more, ie a sunny window spot, until the weather warms up more in the next month etc. Basically because the plant is cold, and the pot mix also cold, it is less active and nutrients are not moving in the leaves. Once it warms up, there should be a growth flush, and you could lightly fertilize then. | About the Author jakfruit etiquette vic 11th August 2018 2:26pm #UserID: 5133 Posts: 915 View All jakfruit etiquette's Edible Fruit Trees |

Fruitylicious1 says... Hi Jack Might be powdery mildew. If that's the case snipped off affected leaves and spray it with a mixture of 1 tbsp of bicarb of soda, 3 drops of dishwasher liquid pour in 4 ltr of water and mix thoroughly. Spray the entire plant. Another organic spray is a mixture of one cup of full cream milk with 10 cups of water, mix well and spray the entire plant. Happy gardening :-) | About the Author Fruitylicious1 TAMWORTH,2340,NSW 12th August 2018 8:34am #UserID: 16885 Posts: 709 View All Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruit Trees |
