Tom says... Our oldest one is just about five years old now, and it's been our experience that the roots are shallow but spread far. A lot of the big roots ride the surface, and I've heard that's a common trait of rain forest species. Although all of ours are still young, I don't foresee that their roots will go deep enough to get into the pipes, but I think they might mess up a sidewalk or driveway or could push a retaining wall. | About the Author Tom Orlando, Florida 14th October 2011 10:56pm #UserID: 3912 Posts: 101 View All Tom's Edible Fruit Trees |
