denise1 says... I have tried it several times before, and even in a greenhouse over winter they dont last long even in northland. The Auckland domain can grow them in their heated greenhouse, but they have constant care. Mostly the seeds lose viability during the 4 to 7 days it takes to reach here in the post. Even fresh seed brought quickly on a plane will grow strong then perish. If you want chocolate then try the chocolate sapote. Diospyros digyna. They will grow outside in Auckland in good soil. Plant 2 if possible. | About the Author denise1 auckland NZ 16th August 2012 10:35am #UserID: 6832 Posts: 688 View All denise1's Edible Fruit Trees |
