Has anyone attempted at grafting an A & B type avocado scion onto the same rootstock? If so, how did it turn out in regard to fruiting and so on?
Due to a space issue, I was wanting to graft the two type onto one plant.

Hi, you might think of double budding, one bud on each side of the stock, not exactly opposite.
The problem is getting both vars to grow evenly. If you double graft, one var on top of the other, not sure how you will get the lower to grow and fruit. You might be able to double top work with 2 vars onto an older bigger tree.

I have successfully grafted a mature Bacon & HASS scions onto a 1 yrs HASS seedling. I managed to find a seedling that had branched, so I grafted each variety onto each branch.
I was more curious in seeing what/if the the two variety would fruit after x amount of years. Hopefully in a few years I will be able to satisfy my curiosity.

I grafted A & B on one rootstock, bacon is earlier than hass, the overlap part flowering seasons of two might be too narrow.
For some types, they flower in the first year since you grafted them.
The biggest problem is they are unbalanced. For example, I keep one tree for myself--three types in one tree--one type was so tiny a branch, now 8 times than other two.
Bacon & Reed might be a good option.

So has your grafted avocado fruited yet?
Unfortunately I don't have access to a Reed scion. Currently I only have access to HASS, Bacon and Fuerte. Would love to get my hands onto other variety of avocado scion.
