snottiegobble starts with ... Today I was given a 'doughnut peach' to try. Shaped just like the real thing ( the one without the hole ) & about the same size, but it was definately a peach in taste, delicious & being that shape very easy to eat! I was informed that they are grown locally so has anyone come across them? | About the Author snottiegobble Bunbury/Busso (smack in the middle) 14th January 2011 2:05am #UserID: 3468 Posts: 1458 View All snottiegobble's Edible Fruit Trees |

Magpie says... I also saw these in the local fruit shop. The price put me off too but I bought a couple as they looked remarkably similar to the old variety Chinese/China Flat. I have one of these trees in my yard, I bought it about 25 years ago...it seems that they've made a come back as a "fashionable fruit". Very clever marketing by somebody out there.....the trees are selling for anywhere between $25-$60 each and the fruit for $10-$20 per kilo!! I should set up a roadside stall.... :-) | About the Author Brisbane 14th January 2011 9:20am #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |
