Drowned fig tree

Figless starts with ...
Due to an irrigation error it looks like I have drowned my 5 year old fig tree the leaves have shrivelled and the small imature fruit is also getting soft and looks dreadful.
Any hope of recovery?? Thanks

??? Perhaps, they don't like wet feet. Don't water it any more (at all) and wait and see. I have noticed that I get curled up /cupped up leaves on my fig ( but not all over - not sure whether it is a mite ( can't see anything) or a fungus. You could also try no more water and eco fungicide on the leaves.
