Bangkok says... Is a dwarf ambarella sweeter than the normal one? I tasted those last week but it wasn't sweet and also not yellow but still green..That's how Thai eat them though. They are loaded with fruit when still small tree's under a metre tall and they look great. Is there a sweet ambarella variety as well on the world? The one i ate is called makok farang in Thailand. | About the Author Bangkok Thailand 9th January 2017 9:05pm #UserID: 11594 Posts: 370 View All Bangkok's Edible Fruit Trees |

Ajantha says... Yes, That's the one I also known as dwarf. It is less sweeter than a big tree ambarella variety but 15-25 ambarellas in each bunch. I have eaten only two varieties so far. We can buy this fruit in Melbourne. I prefer to grow my own but I have a small back yard.
