Hi All,
I'm from South Africa. I'm looking for dwarf avocado rootstock in SA but can't find any.
I love avo's and want to try and plant as many varieties in my backyard as possible. However space is an issue.

Thinking about growing my own seedling dwarf varietas(wurtz or little cado) and grafting the fruitbearing variety to them them.

Do any of you know about a site where I can order seeds which ships to SA?

Regards

Hi Paul,

I suggest you use Hass, Lamb Hass and Reed seeds as rootstock and graft it to Lamb Hass, Pinkerton or Wurtz scions. The tree can be kept under 3m with little pruning after 5-10 years. However, you can keep it under 2m if grow in pot. Cheers
