As it is a Dwarf tree you may be better keeping the Irwin in a pot.... Mangoes don't like frost so by keeping in a pot the tree can be taken inside away from the weather in winter... mangoes can grow & fruit in pots just needs to be upgraded in size as the tree grows.....Mike

When you place in the pot I would put it into a potting mix like Searles which has 12 months of slow release properties which last 12 months..... All you would have to do is water...... The tree is grafted so will most probably send flowers out in one to two years... depending on the size of the tree will have a bearing on whether you let fruit set..... Usually on a grafted tree on the 3rd season you would let it bare a couple of fruit...... Mike
