Fe starts with ...
We have what is supposed to be an Ellendale Mandarin. The fruit is quite lemony certainly not as I imagined it would be. The tree is quite thorny. Before anyone suggests it, no it isn’t the root stock which has taken over, I’ve checked for that.

Sorry to be pedantic, but rootstock is what is sounds like, it may not be a sucker from below, it may be all rootstock. Rough Lemon, Rangpur, and Cleopatra are some of sourish mandarin type rootstocks.
Upload a photo of the fruit might ID it ?
