jakfruit etiquette says... Sorry to be pedantic, but rootstock is what is sounds like, it may not be a sucker from below, it may be all rootstock. Rough Lemon, Rangpur, and Cleopatra are some of sourish mandarin type rootstocks. Upload a photo of the fruit might ID it ? Fe starts with ... We have what is supposed to be an Ellendale Mandarin. The fruit is quite lemony certainly not as I imagined it would be. The tree is quite thorny. Before anyone suggests it, no it isn’t the root stock which has taken over, I’ve checked for that.
