Feijoa tree

    1 responses

Helen K starts with ...
I have a Feijoa tree growing nicely in a very large pot. it flowered profusely last year but I realise that probably the reason it set no fruit is because it is not self-fertile. The label had no indication of a sub-species name. I want to order a second on in the hope of it setting fruit. How will I know what to order?

If it is a seedling then another seedling would have enough variation to provide you with a pollinator. It can be difficult to see the grafts on feijoa as they heal so well. But if you suspect it is grafted then it does make it hard to know which one to plant. You could get another 2, both different!
