Flowering fruit plant

Hi everyone - fairly new to fruit trees. I purchased a Dwarf Pink Lady and Dwarf Granny Smith and planted both in large pots on mid July.

Both are now starting to flower. I remember a brochure included in the box which said NOT to let the trees flower initially.

Can you kind people please let me know how I should be managing the trees? As you can see, they are now flowering. Do I just pull off the flower buds and leave the leaves to grow?

Sorry for the newbie question.

Thanks,
Mark

Yep the idea is that the trees are too young to support fruit at this point and it would be much more beneficial for them to use their energy to mature. On my citrus I just pinch off the flowers so I assume you can do the same for apples. Just pinch the flower and twist it off.
